SPECIAL PROJECTS CRITERIA
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Organization of Nurse Leaders has instituted a program to recognize and financially support projects in Nursing Administration.
The following criteria is required for submission of proposals to SEPONL’s Special Projects Committee:
- PONL/SEPONL membership is required of project coordinator
- Five copies of project proposal is submitted to chairperson
- Project proposal should include;
- Introduction
- Description of the project
- Importance of the project
- Length of time
- Anticipated budget
- Letter of support from Chief Nursing Officer
- Grant amount requested
- Evaluation criteria
- Name, credentials, E mail, Address and Phone number of Project Coordinator
All proposals will be reviewed by the SEPONL Special Projects Committee and the SEPONL Executive Board.
Awards will be made based on the following
- Merit of the proposal
- Extent to which project supports Nursing Administration
- Applicability of project to other organizations
Project Coordinator will provide progress reports to Chairperson of the Special Projects Committee at six-month intervals.
At the completion of project, the investigator agrees to disseminate findings by means of a written summary of the project and outcomes to the SEPONL Board for posting on the SEPONL website as well as a presentation at a SEPONL educational conference.
SEPONL reserves the right to offer full, partial or no funding based on evaluation and funding availability. Funding will be provided at project conclusion and presentation to SEPONL. Any exceptions to this approach will be individually reviewed by the board and applicant.
